Suitcase Tuesday: The Beach Hotel, Byron Bay

After a long week of conferencing in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, I was super excited to treat myself to a little beach time on the Gold Coast. Sadly, it poured rain the entire time. But, the little hotel I stayed at on the beach completely surpassed my expectations and was a perfect little spot to unwind before hitting the road again for more work.

With just 25 rooms, the Beach Hotel has a funky little vibe, a perfect little pool, and a very yummy little al fresco italian resto with views of the beach. Internet, parking and laundry were all free. Can’t go wrong with all that!

In the crazy winds and pelting rain, we still braved the choppy cove with kayaks in hopes of spotting bottlenose dolphins.  Our guides could not get any photos because of all the rain, but we were so lucky to have a huge pod ride the surf right in front of us. It looked just like this!

How wonderful that you are visiting our part of the world. Sorry about the rain..! It’s been an unpredictable season with so much strange and unusual weather..

Your trip up North sounds heaven and the hotel lovely. Spending time with dolphins is such a treat and so healing. We’ve had many wonderful experiences with bottle nose dolphins in Shoal Bay where we go every year for at least a couple of weeks.

    Enjoy and have fun.

    xx Charlotta
